Welcome to JD Photography! My name is Marlene and I am the proud owner and lead photographer of JD Photography. My journey as a self-taught photographer began nearly two decades ago. Over the past 15 years, I've had the honor of capturing the most cherished moments of numerous weddings, and for almost 20 years, I've been photographing families, preserving their unique stories through my lens.


I am thrilled to share that I am an award-winning photographer, having been named to "The Knot's Hall of Fame." This recognition reflects my dedication to my craft and my commitment to delivering exceptional photography services to my clients.


JD Photography is not just a business; it’s a passion that stems from a deeply personal place. My son, Jathan Daniel, is on the spectrum, and it was his journey that inspired me to start my photography business with a purpose. In the early days, I donated my photography services to special needs children and used the proceeds to help financially challenged families obtain the therapy tools they needed to improve their quality of life.


My new studio is located in Kearny, NJ, where I continue to create beautiful memories for my clients. Whether it’s the joyous moments of a wedding or the tender moments of a family gathering, my goal is to tell your story with authenticity and artistry.
